2025-05-04 Trains, Tahupo, and Puteore huts2025-02-24 Washington < Trips > A trip to visit three huts in the Waitōtara Conservation Area, via Trains Track (see the brochure) Trains TrackTrains Track is a advanced track, of 15 kmkm. located at -39.522, 174.748, permitted activities are walking and tramping. Walking duration is 4–5 hr. No dogs. Other pets on conservation land rules.Sunday 04 May 2025, day 01Taumatatahi Road up the Trains Track to Trains Hut for lunch. Then across the Wāitōtara River and up and along the ridge track to Tahupo Hut.
