Thompson Creek (N1301968, E5142768) has steep access into a fast-flowing river. The location of this creek is between Blowfly and Māori Saddle Huts, approximately 2 hours from Blowfly Hut.

Heavy rain events may change the level of access into the river, so always make your own assessment before attempting the river crossing.

Extreme caution is required. If you are unsure – turn back or do not attempt the track.
