Sultana Cake
500g sultanas
250 g butter
3 eggs
3 tsp baking powder
½ cup milk
cold water
250g sugar
500g flour
½ tsp salt
- just cover sultanas with cold water and bring to boil
- boil for 10 minutes, then drain and cool
- cream butter and sugar
- add eggs
- then sifted dry ingredients
- with ½ cup of milk
- and cooked sultanas
- turn in mixture
- place in the oven at 160°
- bake for 1½ hours
