How to Make Gingerbread Witches
4ozs butter
4ozs brown sugar
10oz sifted flour
1tsp bicarb of soda
3tsp ginger
4ozs warned syrup (molasses)

- First draw a witch shape onto cardboard and cut it out
- Then cream butter and sugar together
- Mix in dry ingredients and syrup till you have a dough
- Knead with your hands, roll out on a floured board
- Cut round witch pattern with a sharp knife
- Put witches on a greased or non stick tray, add currant eyes
- Bake in oven 350 F for 10 to 15 minutes.
Make sure a grown up is in charge now
