Rock Buns
680gm flour pinch salt
4 tsp baking powder 170gm butter
340gm sugar 230gm currants
120pm mixed peel 2 tsp mixed spice
2 tsp ground nutmeg 2 eggs
milk to mix
- Sieve flour, salt, baking powder.
- Rub in the butter and add the sugar, currants and chopped peel
- Add the mixed spice and ground nutmeg
- Add egg, and mix with milk to give a stiff dough.
- Put mixture in rocky heaps on trays.
- Bake in a hot oven (230 C) for 15 to 20 minutes.
